Ms. Oster began her career as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio in 1989 representing the federal government in complex business reorganizations under the US Bankruptcy Code, fraudulent conveyance actions, secured transactions, workouts, restructurings, and contested foreclosure proceedings.  She then served as in-house counsel to a national banking institution for more than 21 years, before opening her own law practice and joining the Firm in 2019.

Oster has extensive experience in banking law, regulatory compliance, secured transactions, title insurance, complex commercial litigation, and in representing clients in state and federal appellate courts. She advises business owners and contractors in the areas of construction law, dispute resolution, and crisis management and has handled sensitive investigations on behalf of large and small businesses.  Oster has argued before the United States Sixth and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeal and before Courts of Appeal in Ohio, most notably obtaining a complete reversal by the Ohio Supreme Court of a lower court's decision in a landmark title insurance case.
