Addressing the rural lawyer shortage

In some rural counties, lawyers are not absent; they are overloaded. They are often:

• Highly experienced
• Short on bandwidth
• Lacking tools to scale or streamline

In many cases, these professionals have already served their communities for decades. They are retiring and not being replaced. And among emerging attorneys, few have systems for broader volume, wider reach, or stronger connection, beyond 12-hour workdays, so their impact stays limited.

What would it look like to support them with:

• Technology that enables service beyond county lines
• Referrals they do not have to chase
• Models that make doing “people’s law” more efficient and more sustainable

The talent is there. The tools exist. It is time to connect the dots.
