Myth!

Once a contract is signed by all parties, it is legally binding. According to MSH Associate Theodore Kelly, changes typically require all parties to sign a modification to the original agreement—and they may not agree to do so. If they decline to sign updated terms, you can be held liable under the original agreement.

To avoid contract disputes, be proactive and have your attorney review the contract before signing. If you have questions about contracts, call MSH. We can help.
