Many parents believe that a mutual agreement is enough for the court to grant a deviation from child support guidelines, but that is not the case. According to MSH Associate Brittany Gregorchik, certain factors, in addition to the agreement to deviate, must be cited and must be in the best interests of the children before the court will approve it.
