Real life law

When daylight saving time ends, we hear about disrupted sleep, missed appointments and confused schedules.

Here is another possible consequence: Were you working when the clocks moved back?

If so, an eight-hour shift may actually have been nine hours. You worked the hour. You should be paid for it. The U.S. Department of Labor specifically addresses this situation in its wage guidance.

Check your pay statement. If the additional hour is missing, Ohio LegalShield members can send MSH their schedule, time record and pay statement.

We will help determine whether they were paid correctly. Did the time change affect your wage? That is Real Life Law.

Ready for a fresh perspective and genuine care from a legal professional?  We’d love to speak with you. Schedule a consultation today.
