With over eleven years of dedicated legal practice, Maggie McKenzie brings a profound depth of experience and compassion to her clients. She spent a decade of her career at the Franklin County Public Defender’s office, fiercely advocating for individuals navigating some of the most challenging chapters of their lives. Known for her patience, empathy, and community-minded approach, Maggie ensures that every client feels heard, valued, and holistically supported. Her diverse legal background also includes significant experience in family and juvenile law.

​A seasoned litigator, Maggie’s courtroom presence is backed by a wealth of experience. During her tenure at the Public Defender’s office, she also served as the coordinator for the Court’s mental health specialty docket—a role that reinforced her belief that every case deserves highly personalized, meticulous care.

​In addition to her trial work, Maggie brings valuable appellate and administrative law expertise from her time serving as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General. In this role, she drafted influential briefs, managed administrative hearings, and argued cases before the Tenth District Court of Appeals. When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Maggie loves exploring the outdoors. You can often find her hiking and camping with her husband and their beloved dog, Bear, or planning her next travel adventure to experience new places and cultures.
