Deborah’s practice focuses on consumer protection, consumer finance, guardianships, contractual law, insurance law and personal injury. Before coming to Maguire Schneider Hassay, Deborah was an associate and civil litigator at Denmead & Maloney, where she handled many personal injury cases including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and medical and professional malpractice cases. Deborah has experience working on both sides of negligence cases and has considerable experience in appellate law. She co-authored an Amicus Curiae brief filed in the United States Supreme Court. She also acts as a volunteer legal guardian in Franklin County through the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging. 

Deborah earned her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where she was Dean of the legal fraternity Delta Theta Phi. She received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, Cum Laude, and was President of the Pre-Law Club and a member of the Political Science honor society Pi Sigma Alpha. Deborah is licensed to practice in State of Ohio and in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
